Kendallville, IN (Top40 Charts/ Spencer Kane Official Website) Bill Withers classic "LOVELY DAY" is the inspiration for the latest single of 15 year old teen pop artist, Spencer Kane. Using the basic chord progressions and some of the lyrics, this pop style song crosses over to the Latin Music genre with featured rap artist, Prez, spitting English and Spanish rhymes in the mix.
"We've been working with Avery Berman (The Ground Above) to produce some of my songs and he did an amazing job creating the music arrangement and overall studio editing. I like dubstep and he uses just enough to make it pretty cool," stated Spencer about his new release. He added, "When we contacted Bill Wither's publishing company about this remake, they listened and his wife responded by email with a thumbs up. That was really cool."
The song has been released to iTunes, Amazon, and about 30 other online stores and is also available for download through the Spencer Kane Official Store on Reverbnation.
The Official Music video for Lovely Day strays a bit from the styling in which Spencer's past videos have been filmed. Mostly shot in front of green screen, the video features Spencer and Prez being "cartoon-ized" in a fantasy setting that takes place in Spencer's dream. The storyline features a tired mother coming home and a noticeably concerned Spencer about the family's circumstances with a single mom and little sister. Spencer falls asleep listening to music on his phone and the video plays out like a Disney fantasy or Nickelodeon tween show.
This is Spencer's fourth original release since his debut song " Best Friends" was made public July 2011. Spencer plans to perform at various venues throughout the summer and will be making his first trek to Nashville in June to discuss the production of more original songs with award winning writers and producers at two studios.
