NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Splash! PR) - Stadium Entertainment's release, My Country:
Smash Hits, in stores today, is more than just a superstar-packed collection of hits. Proceeds from the sale of the album are benefiting the
Fisher House Foundation, a non-profit organization that aids military families by building "comfort homes" for their use while their loved one is being treated for injury, illness or combat-related conditions.
There is a Fisher House located at almost every major military base or veteran's medical facility and there is absolutely no charge for anyone to stay at a Fisher House.
The street date for the new CD is August 24th but the project has already reached No 133 in Music and No 15 in Country Music on Amazon's Bestsellers Rank as a result of album pre-orders.
"The response has been overwhelming but we still see our mission as making everyone in America aware of the righteous work that Fisher House does. Just a brief visit to their website, www.fisherhouse.org, tells the whole story. Stadium is creating a new paradigm, 'charitainment,' with lots of win/wins attached to it; when you buy My Country: Smash Hits you help Fisher House, you help our military and their families, you get great music from incredible artists at a very economic price, you help our government with the care of the men and women who sacrifice so much for us and you help the economy," states Camille Barbone, President of Stadium Entertainment and executive producer of the project. Camille continues, "Stadium has created its own fulfillment center and toll free number to make sure that everyone who wants to buy My Country: Smash Hits can get it as quickly as possible. It is also available at select retailers such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy and on Amazon.com as a full CD digital download or as a compact disc that will be shipped right to our customers."
The release features hit songs from Trace Adkins, Rodney Atkins, Dierks Bentley, Big & Rich, Rascal Flatts, Randy Houser, Jypsi, Lady Antebellum, Reba McEntire, Montgomery Gentry, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban. The cover of the album was also designed by legendary "Doonesbury" creator, Garry Trudeau.
"We appreciate the generosity of these great country artists and their decision to share their music in support of the Fisher House mission. The partnership with Stadium Entertainment and EMI is one that will greatly help our military families. Fisher Houses are sanctuaries of support - and the proceeds from this CD will further demonstrate to our wounded warriors and their loved ones that they are never alone and have the devotion of country music fans all around the world behind them," said Ken Fisher, Chairman of The Fisher House Foundation.
