New York, NY (Top40 Charts / unite4:good) Disco Donnie Presents, an award-winning SFX Entertainment company that organizes and promotes hundreds of EMC-focused festivals and events at North American venues each year, and unite4:good, a global movement for kindness and social good, announce the launch of Project Disco, a collaboration that unites music and positive action at
Disco Donnie Presents (DDP) events and venues across the U.S. The goal is to inspire event attendees to make a difference in their communities by committing to acts of kindness and service. To kick-off its first initiative, ProjectDisco4:Good will host a food drive at the Sun City
Music Festival benefitting the Salvation Army of El Paso.
Prior to the Sun City
Music Festival, taking place on Labor Day weekend (Saturday,
September 5th and Sunday,
September 6th), attendees are encouraged to register for the project and then bring one or more non-perishable food items and/or boxed goods to the festival. In turn, they will be allowed access to their own private entrance at the festival gate to expedite their way into the venue. In addition, by registering and participating in the initiative, participants will also be entered into a giveaway lottery of tickets to future events and event merchandise.
"This is the first of many social good projects that we will initiate together with unite4:good in the next year. We want to give back to the local communities that support our events by addressing the needs of non-profits in the area, and the goal is to engage our passionate audience in creating a positive difference through their love of music and the arts," -Donnie Estopinal, Founder and CEO,
Disco Donnie Presents.
Permitted items for the food drive consist of non-perishables such as canned and boxed goods. Canned essentials include canned soup, canned beans, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned meat, jars of peanut butter, cereal, crackers, powdered milk, boxed mac n' cheese, bagged rice, packaged dry noodles, baby formula, baby food, diapers (sizes 1-6), baby wipes, etc.
"This partnership will not only serve the local regions that host DDP events, but will unify attendees in acts of kindness and service that foster a sense of community, collaboration and contribution," said Anthony Melikhov, founder of unite4:good. "These audiences already share a love of music and come together to enjoy this art, and we believe that Project
Disco will further create a passion for participation."
Project
Disco will soon announce its future initiatives and activations that are scheduled to take place across events and venues in the U.S. for the remainder of 2015. With over 600 shows a year that attract nearly a million people annually, DDP engages with millennials who as a generation have demonstrated a strong commitment to the values celebrated by U4G. The DDP events are fully experiential - with on-site activations from participating sponsors as well as interactive promotions.
Now, in partnership with U4G, these experiences will also include opportunities for both individuals and sponsoring brands to express their dedication to social good causes and uplifting action.
