New York, NY (Top40 Charts) J. Cole's new album "KOD" has received so much love that it's broken a U.S. Spotify record previously held by Taylor Swift! According to Chart Data, Jermaine's song was streamed 4.2 million times in the 24 hours following the album's release.

The previous record holder was Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do," which raked in 3.8 million streams the day of its release. Rounding out the top five on the list are Kendrick Lamar's "DNA" (3.6), another KOD track "Photograph" (3.55) and The Weeknd's "Call Out My Name" (3.55).

Drake's "God's Plan" still holds the Spotify record for most streams in a single day with 4.7 million.

Fans were very vocal on social media about the song, sounding off with both positive and negative reactions to the banger. Even Lil Pump appeared to fire back at Cole on Twitter.
Regardless, it'll be interesting to see if J. Cole has a shot at stealing the No. 1 spot from Drake's latest single, "Nice for What," which pushed "God's Plan" off the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this week.
