Kandace Springs Announces Summer US Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Nashville singer and pianist Kandace Springs has announced a run of summer U.S. tour dates that kick off on July 30 and include shows in Boston (The Sinclair, Aug. 1), New York (Le Poisson Rouge, Aug. 3), Philadelphia (South, Aug. 5-6), and Chicago (City Winery, Aug. 16). See below for a full list of dates. Watch Kandace perform Place To Hide solo at Capitol Studios.

Kandace is currently in the U.K. where her new Blue Note debut Soul Eyes has met with enthusiastic praise including a 5-star review in The Times of London who declared This gently acoustic, sophisticated and affecting album is one of the years best so far. In a 4-star review MOJO marveled at her sensuous vocals and intimate, low-key jazz-infused approach that is drawing comparisons with Norah Joness early work, adding No wonder Prince was a fan. The Guardian raved that she has a rare ability that cant be taught to sound like an old soul, just doing what comes naturally.

Soul Eyes was produced by Grammy-winner Larry Klein (Lizz Wright, Melody Gardot, Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock) and touches on soul and pop while channeling her jazz influences as well as her Nashville upbringing. The albums eleven songs are a mix of Kandaces originals and co-writes as well as the jazz classic Soul Eyes plus songs by Jesse Harris, Shelby Lynne, Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken, War, and others. Watch a behind-the-scenes video about the making of the album.
