Bercom International, the national manufacturer of HANDy Paint Products, is searching for do-it-yourself painters (and the next generation of Hollywood directors) to enter its 5th Annual HANDy Paint Products' Online Video Contest.
To qualify, contestants must produce a short video (1 ½ - 4 minutes long) using one (or all 15) HANDy Paint Product in some way, shape or form (as long as it's legal). All HANDy Paint Products are acceptable for use in a video, including the popular HANDy Paint Pail, Paint Tray, Paint Cup, Roller Cup, Pro Pail, Ladder Pail and Grid. To get the creative juices flowing and cameras rolling, check out these Sundance-worthy winners from previous years, who received rave reviews and accolades in the HANDy Paint filmmaker community.
"We're thrilled to be celebrating the 5th year of the HANDy Paint Products' Online Video Contest," says Mark Bergman, CEO of Bercom International. "Last year's entries pushed the boundaries of creativity and we can't wait to see what the 2016 contest has in store."
The HANDy Paint Products Online Video Contest grand prize is $2,000 in cash. Second place receives $750 and third place receives $250. The top three finalists also each receive a GoPro camera. All contest entrants receive $50 worth of free HANDy Paint Products. An additional $5,000 prize will be given to whoever from the Top 10 finalists is able to make his or her video "go viral" on the HANDy Paint Products YouTube channel by the end of 2016 (e.g. with 50,000 views or more).

Finalists will be featured at the
September 24, 2016, HANDy Paint Products Film Festival taking place live from the red carpet at Bercom headquarters in Chanhassen, Minn., where the top three videos will be chosen by local celebrity judges.
The Bercom-sponsored event is open to the public and all donations made at the Film Festival will go directly to the Minnesota chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In 2015, the festival raised approximately $5,000 in donations for the Twin Cities' Habitat for Humanity paint and critical repairs program, "A Brush with Kindness."
