Martina McBride And DAV Help Veterans And Their Families "Pick Up Where They Left Off"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Multiple Grammy award nominee Martina McBride, and DAV (Disabled American Veterans), a nonprofit that provides a lifetime of support for our nation's veterans, are collaborating this holiday season to help veterans and their families pick up where they left off.

Returning to civilian life after military service can be extremely challenging, but veterans and their families can thrive with the right resources.

McBride and DAV are joining forces to raise awareness about veterans' issues and to educate America on how they can support the men and women who served. McBride is dedicating her song, "We'll Pick Up Where We Left Off," to bring greater awareness to America's 22 million veterans. As part of the collaboration, deserving veterans across the country will get a special surprise at stops on McBride's Love Unleashed Tour, where they will receive VIP tickets to her concert and a backstage meet and greet with the artist.

"DAV is delighted to partner with Martina McBride to honor the service and sacrifices of America's veterans in meaningful ways," said Marc Burgess, DAV National Adjutant. "Martina is known and respected for her love of family and country, and we are looking forward to working with her to raise awareness of the needs of our servicemen and women, and their families, over the coming months."

The road home can often be a difficult one for service members who are making the transition to civilian life. They must overcome many challenges, including reintegrating with their families, dealing with the visible and invisible wounds of war, and finding housing and searching for employment. Every year, DAV provides support to more than 1 million veterans and their families, helping them gain access to the benefits they earned and deserve, and connecting them with meaningful job opportunities.

"I am proud to partner with DAV this holiday season to use the power of music to bring everyone together to honor our veterans, their families, and their communities," said McBride. "DAV provides important resources year-round to those who have served our country, helping them come home to a more stable environment."

We'll Pick Up Where We Left Off, is featured on Martina's latest album, RECKLESS, which was released through Nash Icon Records earlier this year. McBride is currently touring North America on her Love Unleashed Tour. For additional information and to see upcoming tour dates, visit her website.
