The self-titled debut album by The Band Perry was released in October 2010 by Republic Nashville and just four months later, it was certified Gold. The trio's "modern throwback" style combines classic Country with an eclectic infusion of Rock, Gospel and Soul. As songwriters and musicians, their sound is distinct and rounded out by the rare magic of perfect three-part harmonies. Their third single, "You Lie," is a sassy anthem of a woman scorned features wordplay that proves the pen is mightier than the sword. As their fastest-climbing radio single to date, "You Lie," catapulted into the Top 5 on Country Charts. Having previously garnered Grammy, CMA, CMT and ACA nominations, The Band Perry recently earned two TEEN CHOICE 2012 nominations for Choice Country Group and Choice Country Single ("If I Die Young"). THE AVETT BROTHERS- Performing in Atlanta, GA at The Tabernacle (9/9/11)
There is no harmony like brotherly harmony, and The Avett Brothers are a testament to that truth! Scott and Seth Avett - plus bassist Bob Crawford, better known as the Avett Brothers, released their big-label debut I and Love and You in 2009, featuring 13 songs that are delivered in a style that has been described as a rootsy amalgam of folk, country, bluegrass, rock and pop - with a smattering of punk-style dynamics here and there. Over the years, the Avett Brothers have built up a sizable following based on their rowdy, infectious stage shows. In concert, the high-flying ensemble tears through tunes with unbridled energy, popping banjo and guitar strings right and left while inciting stomping singalongs among audiences that appear to know every word. They have opened selected dates for the Dave Matthews Band, filled a 9,000-seat arena in Charlotte, North Carolina, sold out the 9200-capacity Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, sold out Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and sold out O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London! This much is for certain: the Avett Brothers are a grassroots phenomenon, built from the ground up. I and Love and You marks the point at which they're poised, with perfect timing, to break through to a broader audience. For more information, please visit www.theavettbrothers.com.
