The Bakery Founder Eric Boulanger To Moderate Panel Discussion At "Making Vinyl" Conference
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Eric Boulanger, founder and principal mastering engineer at The Bakery, will moderate a panel at the upcoming "Making Vinyl" Conference, November 6-7, 2017, at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit. The panel is taking place from 8:50-9:35 a.m. on day 2 of the conference, Tuesday, November 7. Boulanger will moderate the panel, titled The Fine Art of Mastering & Lathe Cutting, which will feature leading members of the audio community, including Matt Earley, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Gotta Groove Records; Ryan Smith, Senior Mastering Engineer, Sterling Sound; Adam Gonsalves, Owner, Telegraph Mastering; Michael Dixon, Owner, Mobile Vinyl Recorders; and Chris Mara, Owner, Welcome To 1979 Studios / Mara Machines.

These industry leaders will discuss a wide range of topics including the workflow of mastering new mixes up to the time the project is on the lathe; artist relations and reference discs; approaches to record label relations and how to manage their expectations; working with manufacturing; and more.

"I am extremely excited to be part of the 'Making Vinyl' conference and think we have put together a panel that will address several key issues that are part of the vinyl record-making process," stated Eric Boulanger. "Each member of the panel is an expert in his own right, and I feel our discussion will give attendees the most current and accurate information regarding the mastering process while we continue to enjoy the current resurgence in vinyl."

"Making Vinyl" is a two-day conference that will closely examine the circumstances leading up to this astounding comeback that took everyone by surprise. Vinyl records are projected to sell 40 million units in 2017, with sales nearing the $1 billion benchmark for the first time this millennium, according to Forbes.

As founder and principal mastering engineer at The Bakery, Eric Boulanger is among the nation's most in-demand vinyl mastering engineers, with numerous recent high-profile credits to his name (for instance, the soundtrack for La La Land, which was the highest-selling vinyl album in the U.S. in Q1 2017).
