Yamaha Unveils Limited Edition Pacifica 612VII Electric Guitar With Seymour Duncan Pickups
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "Expect new colors, new options and plenty of built-in value from this long-standing, versatile and trusted instrument series. Upgraded materials and high performance components make this an extremely versatile guitar," said Armando Vega, Yamaha.

Yamaha has unveiled the Pacifica 612VII electric guitar, a limited edition model featuring an SSH Seymour Duncan pickup configuration. Only 100 pieces will be released in the U.S.

Yamaha has been making guitars since 1942, and the company's Pacifica series, first launched in 1990, were inspired by the California session scene of the day, where versatility, consistent performance night after night and the flexibility to capture an artist's individuality were driving factors. One of the best electric guitar values since its inception, Yamaha Pacifica guitars are well known for great tone and outstanding playability - ideal for any level of gigging guitarist.

The new Pacifica 612VII is a double cut, solid body electric guitar featuring a beveled alder body, rosewood fingerboard and a bolt-on maple neck to ensure a smooth and comfortable playing experience, ideal for performances on stage and in the studio.

The instrument features upgraded name-brand hardware, including a Graph Tech nut and Wilkinson VS50-6 tremolo bridge.

A trio of Seymour Duncan pickups, including two SSL-1 single coil pickups in the neck and middle positions and a TB-14 in the bridge combine with 5-way switching to offer a diverse tonal palette right out of the box - from soft vintage 'S' tones to hotter tones when using the Custom 5 TB-14 humbucker.

"Bringing a dual single-coil, humbucker configuration to the top end of our Pacifica line of electric guitars provides the guitarist with the ultimate high performance solidly crafted instrument," said Armando Vega, marketing manager, electric guitars, Yamaha Corporation of America. "This guitar reflects our company's 'Never Standing Still' mantra, where our customers can expect new colors, new options and plenty of built-in value from this long-standing, versatile and trusted instrument series. Upgraded materials and high performance components make this an extremely versatile guitar for a variety of playing styles, built for a lifetime of playing enjoyment."

Pricing and Availability
The Pacifica 612VII (MSRP $1050) is available in two limited models: PAC612VIIFM (flame-top in either translucent blue or root beer) and the PAC612VII (black). All models will ship in July.
