Her late father, Bill Ainsworth, was a renowned big band musician and arranger and possibly the youngest member of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, backing
Frank Sinatra at just 17. As a young girl,
Laura was inspired watching her dad accompany legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme and Marilyn McCoo. She attributes both music and humor becoming a big part of her life because of her Dad.
