CBGB Film Festival To Premiere Edm Doc. Dutch Influence Tomorrow With Nationwide Release In November
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ It's Alive! Media & Management ) Dutch Influence, (https://www.dutchinfluence.com), a music documentary about the success of the Dutch electronic music scene, will be making its North American debut at the CBGB's Film Festival (https://www.cbgb.com) this Friday October 11 at 1pm at the Sunshine Cinema with a Q&A with the filmmakers to follow. D&E Entertainment (https://DandEentertainment.com), the film's distributor, also announced that a second screening would take place on Sunday October 13 at Indie Screen in Brooklyn with additional screenings of the film taking place this November.

The Dutch Embassy is supporting flying in the film producers for a Q&A after the screening on October 11, 2013.

Produced and Directed by the Jammin Agency (www.jammin-agency.com) team of Hatim El Khatib, Samuel Comazzi and Rikash Gobardhan, Dutch Influence has previously screened in Amsterdam and is both a history of the thriving House music scene propelled by world-renowned Dutch DJs as well an unparalleled visual and aural movie going experience. Once known as a 'niche' genre, electronic music has gone from the underground to popular culture in less than 10 years. Iconic Dutch DJ's like Tiƫsto, Armin van Buuren, Nicky Romero, Afrojack and more who are featured in the film are not only known the world over but also have become major celebrities in their own right. They command huge paydays, are recognized outside the DJ booth, often chart singles on commercial radio stations, collaborate with crossover stars like 50 Cent, Rihanna and others, all-the-while consistently headlining festivals and clubs the world over rivaling more 'established' artists.

"Dutch Influence is our attempt to show the world just how massive and popular Dutch House music has become over the last 10 years", said Filmmakers Hatim El Khatib and Samuel Comazzi. "Having the film make its North American debut at the CBGB's Film Festival is an ideal outlet to premiere our film because the entire festival is curated, presented and attended by passionate music fans."

"Finally the full story of the Dutch music scene!" said DJ Sidney Samson.

"The most gratifying aspect of being a leading distributor of music documentaries and niche films is working with groundbreaking films like Dutch Influence," said Doug Kluthe and Evan Saxon, partners at D&E Entertainment. " This film is the first of its kind for US theatres that provides an insiders view into the lives and music of international arena DJ's as they explain the worldwide popularity of Dutch House Music."

Dutch Influence, tells the story of Dutch Dj's who have become global superstars while experiencing massive success and what that entails. They share the beautiful moments as well as the downside of their climb to the top. The film follows several top Dutch stars to international locations like Las Vegas, Ibiza, London, Amsterdam and Miami for the largest dance music event in the works "Miami Music Week" (aka Winter Music Conference). With sudden international fame (where DJs are often recognized the world over), they usually are not even recognized in The Netherlands. What's more, the film explores the history of Dutch electronic music and the Dj's who have propelled their music scene, where it is headed and how this one European country could literally reshape the landscape of the music industry looking for success stories in a declining industry.

An official soundtrack to the film by Vince Moogin is out soon on Spinnin' Records https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9btGZJ_TapU
