New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Three-time Emmy award-winning composer and music producer DERU, is bringing his signature dark electronic sound to Youtube Red and Director/EP Doug Liman's new series, Impulse. The series features a teen girl who discovers her ability to teleport, and the chain of events that follow as she attempts to reconcile the challenges she subsequently faces.

Impulse boasts a dark and moody score which matches its murky plot line. DERU's composition showcases his expertise in creating intoxicatingly cool electronica beats that show off his musical production prowess, as well as his ability to serve up amazingly diverse score projects.

In his latest composition effort, DERU veers off from past projects which have been heavily steeped in animation and comic book related genres, such as his soundtracks for Avatar: The Last Airbender, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, and DC Animated Original Shorts (Superman/Shazam, The Return of Black Adam, Jonah Hex, Green Arrow, and The Spectre). It is this transition that separates DERU from the pack and makes him such a hot commodity among score composers and recording artists alike.
