New York (Top40 Charts/ Legacy Media Relations) - On the heels of her smash hit CD, "Memories Are Made Of This", Deana Martin and Big Fish Records announce the release of their new CD, "Volare".

Volare, Italian for 'to fly', is a fitting album title for Deana Martin on so many levels. Her 2006 CD, "Memories Are Made Of This" was a Top 10 chart success - it remained on the album charts for over 40 weeks - a remarkable achievement in an era when heavy metal rock and rap dominate pop music.

If Dean Martin was "The King of Cool" (a moniker hoisted on the legendary entertainer by no less than Elvis Presley himself), Deana is the Queen of Cool! On each of the 15 songs on this new CD, we're treated to the versatility, passion and showmanship of an entertainer who was born to interpret this music. On a program that includes timeless classics penned by everyone from Billy Joel to Elvis Presley to Cole Porter, it takes a singer who can do more than sing. It takes a vocalist who knows how to interpret the essence of each song.

Deana Martin can - and she does!

From the opening number, "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone", you hear an entertainer who can swing as hard as any brass section. With each song, ballad or swinger, you begin to realize that the Martin family tree blossoms with talent and entertainment exuberance. Dino himself has got to be beaming with pride over his daughter's achievements and enthusiasm for The Great American Songbook.

"Volare", like all the songs on this album, has a personal association with Deana: "Each song on this CD has a great memory for me. I'm honored to have known so many of the incredible artists whose songs I have the opportunity to interpret on this album." Just listen to her imaginative approach on tunes like "What A Difference A Day Makes" (her Mother's favorite song); "A Kiss To Build A Dream On" (dedicated to the memory of her Mother-In-Law, Christine). And listen closely to the title track, "Volare". According to Deana: "I actually took Italian lessons for that song so I could make my reading be the best it could be". The best - obviously, Deana learned well from her Dad and his Pallies on how to develop her craft.

On "Volare", Deana pays homage to several men who each contributed to her artistry: Dean Martin (who once told her that taking voice lessons would diminish her prowess as a vocalist); Frank Sinatra (who actually gave Deana her first vocal lesson) and Dean Martin's longtime showbiz partner, Jerry Lewis - a dear friend to Deana and member of the extended Martin family.

"Volare" is the culmination of nearly a year of hard work at Capitol Records, with a proverbial A-Team of Multi-GRAMMY AWARD WINNERS as Deana's supporting cast. Names like legendary recording engineer Al Schmitt (winner of 20 GRAMMY AWARDS ) and engineer Steve Genewick Mastering engineer Ron McMaster, A&R Rob Christie. Arranger/Conductor Charles Calello and Producer John Griffeth.

One listen to Deana Martin's new CD, "Volare" - and it's easy to see why this lady performs to capacity crowds from Branson to Brisbane and beyond!

Early buzz about "Volare" from celebrity colleagues:

"Since purchasing Deana Martin's Volare, she had me at Track 1 with "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone", what vocals! I recorded a disco version of "I've Got You Under My Skin" in 1978, I must say Deana brings a freshness and an originality to this classic that made me take notice. This is my favorite type of genre along with jazz, and I can only hope to have the honor of one day singing a duet with Ms. Martin. She sets the "standards" high with this collection of classics."
-Gloria Gaynor, Grammy Winning Singer/entertainer

"I immediately felt a bond and connection on many levels with Deana Martin and Volare! I come from a musical background myself and trained in classical and opera music. Like Ms. Martin, my father (the late Alexander Ulf Bjorlin, internationally known composer/conductor) also was a huge inspiration and influence on me growing up. He was a wonderful father and a talented musician. Volare is obviously an extension of her love and admiration of her father, and the talent is definitely passed on!"
-Nadia Bjorlin, actress, NBC's "Days of our Lives", singer in sibling group, The Bjorlin Trio
