Fastball Make A.V. Club Undercover Debut Today With '9 To 5'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, Austin's FASTBALL makes their A.V. CLUB Undercover premiere with a tribute to the #1 Grammy® Award nominated title track of the 1980 film 9 to 5. The chart topping hit was originally recorded by Dolly Parton. FASTBALL's rendition is an unlikely addition the collection of this years Undercover performers.

The eighth season of A.V. Undercover, which launched this earlier this summer, features favorite or soon-to-be-favorite bands doing covers of your favorite songs. Groups like Old 97's, Passenger, Cloud Nothings, The Regrettes ,Phantogram and FASTBALL covering cuts by T-Rex, Dolly Parton, Fugazi, and Blink-182, though not necessarily in that order. New episodes are posted every Tuesday at A.V. Club.

FASTBALL released their 6th album, Step Into Light, earlier this summer and immediately set out on an extensive North American tour with Everclear, released three singles and videos - including the award winning clip by Nigel Dick, Behind the Sun, which premiered with Guitar World - and is now headlining their own national tour. Step Into Light, is available through the band's own 33 1/3 label and is the first FASTBALL collection to get a vinyl LP release.

Before Step Into Light was officially released the band shared the entire album via billboard.com. Appropriately, FASTBALL then appeared on MLB.com and on Sirius XM for an interview and performance on the Howard Stern Wrap Up Show, where they discussed the unexpected reincarnation of their hit "Out of My Head" on the worldwide #1 Smash Hit "Bad Things." FASTBALL also performed one of Howard's favorite Beatles songs "The Two Of Us." Highlights can be found here.

With nearly 20 years of musical explorations and milestones under its belt, FASTBALL remains one of the most consistent and continuously celebrated rock bands on the road today.

Step Into Light extends FASTBALL's highly respected body of work, which encompasses such acclaimed albums as their 1996 debut Make Your Mama Proud, their 1998 platinum breakthrough All the Pain Money Can Buy (which spawned the Grammy-nominated Top Five hit "The Way"), 2000's The Harsh Light of Day, 2004's Keep Your Wig On and 2009's Little White Lies.
