New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Jeff Goldblum announces that he has reunited with Grammy-winning singing sensation Gregory Porter for the next single from his forthcoming album, I Shouldn't Be Telling You This. Recorded with his long-time band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, the highly-anticipated follow-up to Goldblum's No.1 jazz album last year is due for release on November 1 on Decca Records/Universal Music.

Jeff and label-mate Gregory join forces for the popular 1960s number "Make Someone Happy", with the singer's irresistible velvet voice perfectly complemented by Goldblum's laid-back groove.

Jeff Goldblum says: "There are a lot of great singers, both past and present, and the truly classic ones have that unmistakeable sound that grabs you immediately. Gregory Porter is one of those singers. His humanity and musicianship burn brighter than a super nova. I'm honoured to have met him, played with him and I'm wildly happy that he's on our new record."

Gregory and Jeff first met by chance in an airport, bonded over a mutual respect and admiration, then performed together soon after on BBC One's Graham Norton Show. It was while accompanying the chart-topping, soul-jazz star on television that Goldblum's distinctive style and natural feel for the piano caught the attention of Decca record executives, who immediately travelled to Los Angeles to sign him.‎ This is the first time the friends have recorded together, and will make a lot of people happy.

Gregory joins an impressive line-up of extraordinary guest duet partners gathered together by Jeff for his new record, including Sharon Van Etten and Anna Calvi, announced last month.

This summer Jeff Goldblum's live set at Glastonbury 2019 was hailed as one of the festival's iconic moments and, with this new single, he is delighted to keep sharing his passion for jazz and his nifty piano skills with the world.
