'For Better, Or Worse', a collection of covers and duets featuring Lee Ann Womack, Kacey Musgraves,
Miranda Lambert and others, was released on
September 30 via John's own label Oh Boy Records, in collaboration with Thirty Tigers. John celebrated its release with a sold-out, two-night engagement at Nashville's Ryman auditorium on

Radio and has earned widespread praise from the LA Times, Wall Street Journal, and NPR Music, who called the new music "honest" and "emotionally impactful."
