Premiere Of Laurie Conrad's String Quintet #2

NEW YORK (Laurie Conrad Website) Conrad's String Quintet #2 is written for five stringed instruments designed by renowned string maker Robert Spear. They are of a different size and timbre than the usual stringed instruments. There will also be an open rehearsal with the composer present in the afternoon. Conrad's Elegie, which is dedicated to the innocent victims of the Iraqi invasion, will also be performed.

Laurie Conrad is a pianist and composer living in Ithaca, NY. Some of her honors include: Who's Who in American Music, The International Who's Who in Music (Cambridge), The International Encyclopedia of Women Composers, The Dictionary of International Biography and Marquis' Who's Who in America.
