Ringo Starr And His Band Prepare To Hit The Road For 12 Tour Dates This Fall
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band kick off their Fall tour tomorrow, which will bring them to some of Ringo's favorite venues including Humphreys in San Diego on Saturday September 7th then onto The Greek in Los Angeles Sunday September 8. The tour also takes them back to Fallsview Casino on September 22nd, overlooking Niagara Falls, where he has launched several tours (2010, 2012) and concludes at Radio City Music Hall on September 25, where he has performed 8 times with the All Starrs between 1992-2018, including of course July 7, 2010 where Ringo and the All Starr's were joined by two surprise guests, Paul McCartney and Joe Walsh, in celebration of Ringo's 70th birthday.

The All Starr Band lineup will be the same as it was in the Spring and features Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart, Gregg Bissonette as well as Buck Johnson on keyboards, who previously filled in for Edgar Winter and will rejoin the group for these shows.

"We are on tour on Saturday!," Ringo shared in a video update from the band's rehearsals. He also revealed that the kit he will be playing on this tour is a replica of the drums he used on the Ed Sullivan show. "I had the small kit because I wanted to be seen. But then I had the great idea and said why don't you give me a rostrum, and they built the rostrum and I'm up there having a great time."

In other Ringo news: Ringo has been working on a Country album with T Bone Burnett and details about that will be announced in October. In April Ringo released Crooked Boy, his 4th EP featuring 4 songs all written and produced by Linda Perry - "February Sky," "Gonna Need Someone," "Adeline," and "Crooked Boy." May and June saw Ringo and the All Starrs back out on the road including two sold out shows in Mexico City. In July he celebrated his annual Peace & Love birthday which included celebrations in over 30 countries and reaching into the heavens with the help of NASA.

Ringo also recently published his 8th book, Beats & Threads, through Julien's Auctions. Ringo's trend setting threads were as signature as the beat of his drums and this book features over 200 images including never before seen photos and extensive details on his drums. Ringo-in collaboration with noted historian, author, speaker, drummer, and vintage drum collector, Gary Astridge-offers for the first-time the most comprehensive look at his legendary Beatles-era drum kits containing decades of research-based information with curated and detailed photographs of these pieces of music history.
