Kamtin Mohager is the creative force behind the Los Angeles based electro-alt band The Chain Gang of 1974. The band's 2014 album, Daydream Forever is an intoxicating blend of eleven radio-worthy synth anthems. Mohager's vocals are at their most versatile, trading between cascading falsetto arpeggios, punk rock throat thrashing, and minimal shoe-gaze crooning. Daydream Forever has its moments of direct allusion, but ultimately it sets a new high-water mark for the effortless incorporation of multiple genres and periods of music into a remarkably consistent rock and roll manifesto.
