New Orleans, LS. (Top40 Charts/ Patty Lee Records) Armand St. Martin, a 10th generation New Orleanian, is a piano professor who has absorbed the styles of the New Orleans piano greats for decades, incorporating their sounds into his own unique style of piano-based New Orleans Rock 'n' Roll.
Educated in
Music Theory and Mathematics at Loyola and Tulane Universities, St.
Martin also attended Wolftrap for the Performing Arts in D.C. for music and dance, and the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) for the Master Class in Film Scoring. His original songs are upbeat and popular. He follows in the Louisiana piano footsteps of Fats Domino, Professor Longhair, Tuts Washington, Archibald, Roosevelt Sykes, Huey Piano Smith, Allen Toussaint, Mickey Gilley, and Jerry Lee Lewis.
Since Katrina, St.
Martin has performed over 200 shows locally every year in New Orleans. For 3 years after Katrina, he was the piano staple at the Ritz Carlton New Orleans, where he had his own room, The Library Lounge. His upbeat entertainment has included concerts at most venues in the Crescent City such as the Superdome, the Ritz (Library Lounge, Sunday Brunches in the Melange, On Trois, Lobby Lounge, French Quarter Bar), the Cabildo, Le Petit Theatre, Ernie K-Doe's Mother In Law Lounge, the Convention Center, Generation's Hall, Basin Street Station, the Theatres at Canal Place, House of Blues, Howling Wolf, Rock 'n' Bowl, and the Republic New Orleans, to list a few.

Martin has also performed in New Orleans for the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities (LEH) in their Piano Professor Series, and at the Louis Armstrong International Airport, the Eiffel Society, Tipitina's, Louisiana
Music Factory, LaTrobe's, the Opera Guild House,
Peaches Records, Degas House, Barnes and Noble, Dos Jefes Uptown Cigar Bar, the Louisiana
State Archives, the Old U.S. Mint, and Mardi Gras World, among other known venues. He's also entertained in the Main Ballrooms in the Big Easy at the Roosevelt Hotel's Blue Room, the J.W. Marriott, the W Hotel, the Hyatt Regency, the Hilton, the Monteleone and the Royal Sonesta.
St. Martin's concerts also include many major Mardi Gras krewe events and galas, as well as annual Jazz Fest parties. His list of private soirees in homes, mansions, and establishments is extensive, and his list of pro bono shows "to give back to the community," since Katrina ranges well over 800 performances to date, and counting.
He has performed at the New Orleans Blues Festival, the Beaujolais Festival, the Summer Wine Fest, the Ponderosa Stomp, the French Quarter Fest and Jazz Fest, to list a few among many nationwide.
