New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Raglans Official website) 2014 is set to be a huge year for Dublin /Wicklow four-piece Raglans. They release not one but two singles in Ireland on 21st February; both of which are taken from their forthcoming debut album 'Raglans'. The album will be released in Ireland and the UK in March followed by a headline UK and Irish tour.
The singles have already created a buzz in the UK, with Raglans receiving plays from Dermot O' Leary on BBC
Radio 2 who called 'Digging Holes' a 'great tune'. Keith Allen, actor and father of
Lily Allen is also a fan of Raglans calling them 'an immensely powerful band!'
'(Lady) Roll Back The Years' was recorded in London with award winning producer Jay Reynolds who has helped shape the sound of Elton John, Pulp, Jools Holland, INXS, McFly, The Strypes,
Paloma Faith & Pixie Lott.
'Digging Holes' was recorded in London and mixed by award winning producer Cenzo Townsend whose credits include Florence and the Machine, 'Lungs', 'Chasing Cars' for
Snow Patrol and recordings with Badly Drawn Boy,
Editors and The Kaiser Chiefs.
Raglans have secured a record deal with Independent Records Ltd. which is home to
Damien Dempsey, Sharon Shannon, The Wonder Stuff, Two Spot Gobi, and
Morrissey & Marshall in the UK.
Raglans have also attracted the attention of global live music giant, International Talent Booking who will manage their touring diary internationally. ITB look after tours for Biffy Clyro, Adele,
Paul Simon and
Mumford & Sons among others.
The band will complete a huge tour of the UK in February with their old friends The Strypes, playing venues across the country including the Shepherd's Bush
Empire in London and Brighton's Concorde 2.
