MONTEREY, Calif. (BeanBagOne.com) - Lead singer for The Youngbloods, Jesse Colin Young, and his new band, Celtic Mambo, received standing ovations on their nationwide tour, which began March 29 through April 29, 2006. Jesse put the band together in Hawaii, adding violin, bass, congas and 3-part harmony to his lead vocal, guitar and ukulele creating unique tropical arrangements for his classic songs. The Very Best Of Jesse Colin Young, a 2-CD set on Artemis Records containing 34-tracks was released in October 2005, and includes members of Celtic Mambo on the new recordings.

Jesse Colin Young was recently joined backstage after a performance at the Sunset Center in Carmel, California by fellow Youngbloods founder Banana; original Youngbloods & JCY booking agent Dan Weiner (Monterey Peninsula Artists); current band member and Jesse's wife Connie Young; original manager of the Grateful Dead Rock Scully; and music critic for the Monterey Herald Beth Peerless.
