New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Chicago alt-rock veterans Lucky Boys Confusion had an impressive first week of sales on their new full-length album 'Stormchasers', which debuted at #16 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart, #33 on the Current Rock Albums Chart, and #40 on the Independent Albums.
The band's first set of new music in 10 years has been met with critical acclaim as well, with Altpress stating, "Lucky Boys Confusion are in full-on comeback mode." The Prelude Press raved, "Stormchasers feels like a rebirth, and that's exactly what it has been for this group of musicians.... a classic, timeless release." It's All Dead declares: "(Frontman) Stubhy Pandav once again proves himself as one of the best vocalists in rock.
Pandav says, "With 'Stormchasers,' I wanted to put myself out there emotionally in a way I haven't been able to let myself do before. So, it's been both amazing and humbling for me and the guys to see our story connecting so deeply with fans, old and new."
"It's pretty surreal," adds Stubhy. "We're still playing shows for fans who have grown up with us, as well as for kids discovering us for the first time - it's been a hell of a ride."
The Chicago-based group attained national (and soon after, global) attention with their 2001 major-label debut, Throwing the Game (Elektra Records), featuring the alternative-radio-charting "Fred Astaire." The band toured relentlessly over the next decade, playing as many as 250 shows per year, and garnering a rabidly-loyal fan-base in-the-process.
Now, with a planned year-long celebration of the band's platinum anniversary throughout 2017, Lucky Boys Confusion has just released its new record, Stormchasers, which is comprised of all new songs penned by the long-time songwriting team of Pandav and guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Adam Krier, with production duties being manned by Grammy-nominated, Chicago-based producer Johnny K (Plain White T's, 3
Doors Down).
Stormchasers draws on the band's long-history, with punk-tempo-ed bangers such as "It's After Midnight" and the quasi-title-track "Stormchaser," while showcasing their affinity for modern, radio-ready anthems on "Sun In My Eyes" and "Knives (Watch What You Say)."
