New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The precision artistry of the Austin based band known as Del Castillo comes alive one more time with the release of their newest single "El Sombrero". Released in English and Spanish this up tempo spirited tale is ripe with adventure, women and a lesson that every man should know about messing with Mexican beauties.
Del Castillo's musical emphasis is placed on the sounds of Tejas (Texas) roots music and you can feel the steamy environment painted through the song's lyrics as it weaves the tale of "El Sombrero". It was Del Castillo's previous releases such as "El Sombrero" that caught the ear of Robert Rodriquez and Quentin Tarantino and earned placement in such productions as Once Upon A Time In Mexico, Kill Bill Vol. II, Alita Battle Angel, The Green Ghost, Machete, Sin City and Planet Terror.
"El Sombrero's" blend of fictionalized lyric and smartly crafted tones and sequences pulls the listener in. A blend of old world culture and new day instrumentation sets the backdrop with the lyrics attracting impulsive curiosity as natural as a moth to a flame. "El Sombrero" presents a theme based presentation packed with intrigue.
On the production side the recording occurred at Mark Del Castillo Studio (Buda, Tx) with the drums being recorded at Smilin Castle Studio (Kyle Tx). Mixing by Tim Palmer with mastering handled by Mark Del Castillo.

Del Castillo has performed in such major music festivals as: Austin City Limits, Eric Clapton Guitar Festival, Ellnora Guitar Festival, Montreux Music Festival, Dallas International Guitar Festival and more. Previous releases include: Brotherhood, Del Castillo, Brothers of the Castle, Infinitas Rapsodias, Merry Del Castillo Christmas, Vida and Vintage Reserve. (all albums available for radio music libraries)
