New York, NY (Top40 Charts) In time for Black History Month, Regina Belle has returned with a brand new single "Freedom" honoring the legacy of her ancestors and the sacrifices they made for millions of Americans.

On her Facebook page Regina writes: "I pray that this far in my life that the ancestors are pleased with me on and offstage. They're asking us now what are we doing with all the dues, sacrifices and even the lives given to get us people of color to where we are now."

Written with Chris Walker and featuring Dr. Iyanla Vanzant and my Bishop Dr. Kenneth W. Paramore, "Freedom" has been released by Regina on her own label. Throughout the history of American "civilization" especially since slavery, there's been a struggle and a consistent fight for the recognition of FREEDOM to minorities specifically African-Americans. This song reflects that sentiment in a small but significant manner through the lyrics and vocal presentation of Regina Belle. Belle has been an admirer of history since the 11th grade of high school. Now being a 31-year veteran in the music industry she and co-writer Chris Walker (Walker is responsible for the music), decided to put this admiration to song. The session was recorded with a live band, a full choir, and Regina leading the way as if instructed by the ancestors.
The song was recorded to reflect and aid in remembering the past, help build your mind and direct the concept of your future.
The song has been written but, the rest is up to you.
