NEW YORK, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) ATCO/Atlantic recording group
Straight No Chaser has announced the release of an exciting new EP, entitled "SIX PACK: VOLUME 2." The collection arrives in stores and all digital retailers on November 29th.
"SIX PACK: VOLUME 2" will also be available for pre-orders via Straight No Chaser's official web store, store.sncmusic.com beginning on November 1st. A variety of packages will be on offer, including digital and CD editions of the EP as well as a "Deluxe Bundle" that comprises a CD, a poster/calendar, and a limited edition SNC stuffed bear.
"SIX PACK: VOLUME 2" sees the acclaimed a cappella group, who were recently featured on the "Generation YouTube" episode of "20/20," putting their inimitable touch on a selection of modern pop classics, including Weezer's "Buddy Holly," Madonna's "Like A Prayer," and "Get Ready," written by Smokey Robinson and made famous by The Temptations. In addition, the new EP features two of SNC's signature medleys, the first pairing Plain White T's' "Rhythm Of Love" with the Elvis Presley standard, "Can't Help Falling In Love," the second blending Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" with Bell Biv Devoe's "Poison." As if all that weren't enough, "SIX PACK: VOLUME 2" also will include a brand new Straight No Chaser original song.
"SIX PACK: VOLUME 2" heralds Straight No Chaser's eagerly awaited new PBS special, Songs Of The Decades: Holiday Edition, which begins airing on PBS stations nationwide on December 3rd. Presented by WTTW National Productions, the special sees SNC taking a musical journey through the pop songbook, from doo-wop to contemporary pop, all performed with the distinctive Straight No Chaser twist. Filmed this summer during SNC's exclusive summer concert engagement at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City, Songs Of The Decades: Holiday Edition also includes a number of the seasonal favorites beloved by fans around the world. A sneak preview of the group performing "Like A Prayer" as part of the new special can currently be viewed at https://youtu.be/QyQAVhkAwvk; complete airdates will be announced shortly.
