Basia Releases Sick N' Tired With Yurko Mychaluk Of Klooch & Nelly Furtado!
TORONTO, ON (Top40 Charts/ Basia Lyjak Official Website) After exploring her country and southern rock side with May 2011's single, "Sunshine," Basia takes on the big boys in the Canadian music scene with the gritty, unrelenting track, "Sick N' Tired." The fruit of a collaboration with Yurko Mychaluk, formerly of Klooch and Nelly Furtado, "Sick N' Tired" is a seamless infusion of both Yurko's and Basia's songwriting styles; a powerhouse track that can hold its own next to the likes of Three Days Grace, Finger 11, Nickelback and Billy Talent! Once called "Canada's Princess of Rock n' Roll," Basia is proof that women can rock as hard as the boys without compromising style, melody or sincerity!

Produced by Yurko, whose guitars and bakcground vocals you hear on the track, it also features David McMillan on bass (Thornley, Fefe Dobson) and Jason Pierce on drums (Paramore, Shiloh)! Rounding out the production, Sick N' Tired was recorded, edited and mixed by Taras Blizniuk at Loud Mouse Studios and mastered by Phil Demetro at Lacquer Channel - a wildly talented lineup of Canadian musicians!

"I'm done with limiting myself to genres when every kid with an iPod has at least 50 different kinds of music on it! That's the mindset I was in when we went into the studio with these new songs - I wanted to make them the best they can be, not cram them into a genre," says Basia of this summer's releases, "Sunshine" and "Sick N' Tired," and the 2 sonically unalike singles set to follow it this fall: "Hero," and "Yeah Yeah Yeah."

Rather than release another EP or stand-alone single as she has done in the past, Basia's goal for 2011 and onward is to keep a stream of fresh music coming out -- "Basically, I don't want to give anyone the chance to stop listening!"

So what's Basia's goal? To get MORE people listening! "I get so many great messages from fans in the USA, all over Europe, Asia and Latin America - I'm working toward travelling more and more to meet them all!" First step? More shows in Canada, to be announced in the coming weeks!
