New York, NY (Top40 Charts) What's old is new (and cool) again in "1982"- the latest video from alt-pop pair Dangerous Hippies. The band consists of duo Marshal Dutton and Cody Hanson (you might recognize them as the lead singer and drummer of rock icons Hinder) and leans heavily into their alternative pop songwriting sensibilities. Think Bruno Mars, The Chainsmokers, Maroon 5 and The Black Keys...done by two of active rock's most prolific songwriters.

The video for their single "1982" is a blast visually and pairs perfectly with the songs upbeat percussion, bright synths and tightly harmonized guitar and vocals. As the title suggests, it was inspired by retro '80s style, with a strong focus on neon colors, arcades and vaporwave aesthetics. With so many artists and directors using the 1980s as a visual template for their videos, the high-production value and cinematic direction of Dangerous Hippies' video manages to stand out as an individual work while still reminding us of some of the greats. If you're into the recent trend of extravagant "flashback to the '80s" movies like Turbo Kid and Kung Fury you're going to love this.

"This video was really fun to make and is probably the coolest video that we've ever put out. It's upbeat, vibrant and matches the vibe of the song perfectly." - Cody Hanson

"1982" serves as the bands debut single from their upcoming album - scheduled for release later this year. Be on the lookout for more music this summer!
