New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Recent signings to Prosthetic Records, Fool's Ghost, have today released the first single, Touch, from their forthcoming debut album Dark Woven Light. The track has an accompanying video, which is premiering now via New Noise magazine. Dark Woven Light will be released on March 20, and is available to pre-order now; the band will embark on a U.S tour with Fotocrime in support of the album - full dates are below.
Of the track and video, the band comment:
"We chose Touch as the first track to be released considering the balance it has between many elements included on Dark Woven Light.
"Visually, we had a loose plan in place for collecting footage. As we were en route to the location, we were unable to get through due to flooding. After attempting a few different ways around, we decided it was actually perfect for the mood of the song. Our good friend, Chris Higdon (Elliott, Frontier(s)), was incredibly flexible and supportive throughout a day of shooting in seemingly the middle of nowhere, Indiana.
"The incredibly talented Claire Krueger pieced together the puzzle of footage with the direction of Nick, and created a stunning visual that exceeded our expectations."
Comprising of Nick Thieneman (Young Widows, Breather Resist) and
Amber Thieneman (Liberation Prophecy, Sandpaper Dolls), Fool's
Ghost are a band small in number but vast in scope. Dark Woven Light is their new year missive, evoking stark landscapes and barren vistas. The ten track album was recorded in 2018, in their hometown of Louisville, Kentucky with producer
Kevin Ratterman (Emma Ruth Rundle, Jaye Jayle, Jim James) at the helm. Cinematic and atmospheric by nature, Dark Woven Light is heavy music distilled through a crystalline lense.
