Las Guitarras De Espana Celebrate Flamenco Dance @ Mayne Stage
Chicago, IL (Top40 Charts/ Las Guitarras De Espana) Las Guitarras De Espana (The Guitars of Spain) presents "Flamenco Collaborations Series," featuring Spanish guitar-based music and dance as a foundation for creative dialogues with artists from Indian, African and Arabic music traditions. Chicago's rich cultural diversity provides a backdrop for this five concert series. This format, presented at Mayne Stage, 1328 W Morse Ave in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood, will allow artists to create new work together and to present these materials to audiences in an excellent venue.

The next show in the series (Saturday, July 23, 2011) is "Flamenco Student Performances" and will feature guest artist Chiara Mangiameli with a headlining set by Las Guitarras de Espana (vocalist Patricia Ortega, guitarist Carlo Basile, Flamenco dancer Wendy Clinard and a full band).

Subsequent dates in the series (September 24 and November 5) will feature Indian, African and Middle Eastern music and dance. Las Guitarras de Espana will be performing, as either a large or small ensemble, at each show in the Flamenco Collaborations Series.
