The single "Push the Button" is from Marc's latest album "Payne to Fame" which was just released.
One way that you a great lyricist is the way they make their lyrics work with the beat and complement each other. Nice hook, strong chorus and a whole lot of punchlines. For such a new artiste, Marc Payne is a great rapper. The song draws you in and immediately leaves an impression that leads up to a nice hook as the song goes along. The beat is nice, you can tell that he is a natural rapper and has the character to make it huge in time. Marc Payne also has impressive vocals working for him which allows him to hit a wide range of notes and make it work whether he's rapping to a trap beat or a hip-hop melody. It is so easy to admire his work, the idea of the song and the flows that he was able to deliver. There's little wonder that "Payne to Fame" has seen some success on the radio since its release, climbing up to #2 on the NACC Hip Hop Adds chart in the first week of November, its highest position before falling to the top #30 recently.

The "Push it real good" sample from Salt N Pepa was also impressively done, a great hook that shows the many layers that make up the song. You hardly find young emcees that are able to deliver a nice combination of backup vocals, sound production, lyrics and flow as well as Marc has successfully done on this single. His vibrant energy and confidence in his rapping abilities also come to play to showcase a sense of style that is uniquely his. While this doesn't come off like a hardcore rap song but a lyrical play, the inspiration is easy to see, and we expect to be hearing a lot more from Marc Payne in the coming times.
