Mercedes Releases Shift Key Remix Of 'Airwave Hustler'
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) Mercedes, the multi-talented rapper/singer-songwriter, enlists Shift Key for a trap remix of Airwave Hustler. It is released as a free download via www.airwavehustler.com

Stream / download via Soundcloud - https://soundcloud.com/airwavehustler/sets/mercedes-airwave-hustler

'Airwave Hustler' is released as Mercedes rebrands and relaunches her website, returning to her electronic roots with a remix courtesy of trap/future garage/ house producer Shift Key.

Currently signed to Warner Music Publishing in the USA, Mercedes features on current Kill the Noise (Yelawolf, Skrillex) album 'Black Magic' via a feature on Jump Ya Body. The album which held the Number 1 and Number 2 chart positions respectively in the Canadian and USA iTunes Dance Album charts.

Earlier this year, Mercedes released follow up to 2011's 'Shock Absorber', promo single 'A Little Too Much'. The music video was directed by Mark (Stonefire) Stenild, and was inspired by a trip to the movies. Mercedes also shot a music video for Boots 17 Cosmetics, called Tonight We're Going OUT Out, Mercedes' track 'Stars' is featured in 'This is 40'; the sequel to the movie Knocked Up, due for release Christmas 2012. She recently earned her first top 20 track as a writer in August this year, penning the lyrics to 'Double Up' for Korean girl band sensations, Two X.

Raised in Copenhagen, and of South American and Jamaican descent, Mercedes was an entertainer from an early age. In her teens she formed a dance group with 3 other friends and, inspired by Salt-N-Pepa and James Brown, the group entered numerous competitions. She has since toured and performed on stage across Europe with artists such as Will.i.am, Nicole Scherzinger and Snoop Dogg.

She cites classic hip-hop as a key influence on her music, having been introduced to A Tribe Called Quest, Public Enemy and Beastie Boys when she was a youngster. Her party-anthem influences stem from her love of flamboyant artists with personality such as Grace Jones, Bjork, Neneh Cherry and David Bowie, which has led her to develop her own distinctly urban-influenced sound, combined with original electronic rhythms.

The Camden-based girl has been busy writing and recording new music with producers including Robbie Lamond (Devlin, Katy B), Breakage (Jess Mills, Roots Manuva) and WoZ (Black Butter) for release throughout 2013.
