New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Ahead of live dates supporting The Guru Guru later this month, Brighton-based prog rock band POLY-MATH are pleased to reveal an epic 13-minute live session of their latest track 'Sensors In Everything' which is out now and available on digital service providers.

Filmed at Brighton Electric Studios by Jon Freeman, tracked by Josh Gale, and mixed by Mark Roberts, the new live session video is a powerful reminder of just how potent a force Poly-Math are becoming—not just on record, where their experimental writing continuously pushes the boundaries of heavy music, but also in the live setting, where their erratic, unpredictable sound really takes on a life of its own.

'Sensors In Everything' is the band's first release to include new members Josh Gesner, on keyboards and synthesisers, and Chris Olsen (Death And The Penguin) on saxophone, with the outfit adding two more richly-toned strings to their increasingly-versatile bow, and placing the band firmly in prog rock territory.

Commenting on the video, the band said: "We much prefer filming live sessions to making music videos as it's a lot more organic, but it's when you get to around 6 or 7 minutes into filming a live take of a 13 minute song that you really realise the massive mistake you are making..."

'Sensors In Everything' follows Poly-Math's traditional form of writing around historical events and movements influenced by real polymaths, this time shining the spotlight on polymath Gerald Heard and his pursuit of the evolution of consciousness. A British-born American historian, science writer, public lecturer, educator, and philosopher, the track includes fragments from a television interview with Heard discussing his thoughts on psychedelic drugs, and the limitations on human perception of reality.

The new track marks the first of an ambitious two-part release, with the quartet recording for the first time with Brighton producer Mark Roberts (Black Peaks, The Physics House Band, Toska, Delta Sleep, and many more) whose influence has led to a more organic, aggressive sound than has been tradition for the band.

The remainder of the new material is scheduled for release later this year, with further details to be revealed over the coming months.
Further live dates TBA.

Fast becoming cult-favourites and respected luminaries of the UK's underground progressive music scene, the new single sees the band on typically exhilarating form across nearly 15 minutes of heavy, experimental music that pushes boundaries in just about every direction possible.

With appearances at ArcTanGent Festival, PORTALS Festival, and Weird & Wonderful Festival followed up by a UK tour with Coldbones late last year, Poly-Math will be taking their traditionally-studio-based approach to music to wider audiences than ever before over the coming months, with further live dates TBC.

The band's latest record—double album, House of Wisdom | We Are The Devil—was released back in 2018 on Lonely Voyage Records and Nice Weather For Airstrikes, drawing support from BBC Radio One, Kerrang! Magazine, The Independent, Guitar & Bass Magazine, PROG Magazine, Revolver Magazine, Total Guitar, Rhythm Magazine, Modern Drummer and many more.
