New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Sparrow Records) - The Associated Press reports Switchfoot's new release, HELLO HURRICANE, opened at No 6 on iTunes' Top Albums chart and debuted at No 2 and No 13 on Billboard's Top Christian and all-genre Top 200 charts respectively.

Now the Hello Hurricane Tour is underway, selling out seven of its first eight dates and adding second shows or moving to bigger venues in some cities. Watch the band's recent performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Montana's Great Falls Tribune calls HELLO HURRICANE 'a great album (competitive with Switchfoot's) previous masterpiece, THE BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN.'

2009 American Idol winner Kris Allen would likely agree. Speaking with MTV.com, he says, '(Lead singer) Jon Foreman's lyrics are outta this world.'
