Sekta Core & Nana Pancha Close The Year With Their First Tour In The US Together
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The iconic skacore Mexican band Sekta Core and one of the most important ska bands Nana Pancha are joining forces with their USA TOUR to wrap up 2016 with a big bang, touring 7 dates including major cities like Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. The two heavy ska influencers will start their tour in Chicago, IL on December 11 at The Subterranean and close their run on December 18 at The Union in Los Angeles.

Sekta Core is without a doubt, one of the most traditional skacore representative bands from Mexico, heavily influencing the ska, punk and hardcore music scene. They are currently promoting their sixth and most recent album "Ser Fuertes En El Alicia", recorded live in the Multiforo Cultural Alicia in Mexico City, where they play their very first shows.

Along their 22 years of trajectory, the band has headlined Los Angeles' Skacore Invasion festival, they have performed in 5 different occasions in the Festival Vive Latino in Mexico City, Revolution Fest in Guadalajara and Puebla, the Machaca Fest in Monterrey, and most recently Festival Hell & Heaven in Mexico City. The Ska-Core pioneer band is made of vocalist Jorge Salcedo, drummer Miguel Rizo, bassist Ivan "Bam" Rubio, guitarist Axl Ávila, trombone player Enrique "Póporo" Ramírez and trumpet player Galo Reyes.

Formed in 1996 and with a name inspired by the popular song Nana Pancha, interpreted by Pedro Infante, one of the most iconic actors and singer from the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema in the 40's and 50's, the band Nana Pancha have made a name for themselves in the Mexico City ska scene with one demo and 4 albums in their discography, becoming one of the most important ska bands in their country.

The band's recent material is their energetic third single "Esqueletos Tocan A Mi Puerta" from their album "En Vivo desde El Multiforo Alicia", coincidentally also recorded live in the Multiforo Cultural Alicia in Mexico City. Nana Pancha has participated in more than 10 collaborative albums such as Sony's "Copa Mundial de Futbol Sub 17", BMG's "SKA 'N Dalazo Latino", "Skuela de Baile 1 y 2", and two Maldita Vecindad tribute records entitled "Homenaje Maldita 1 y 2". They have performed in all of Mexico and the majority of USA, with more than 8 tours up north, including sharing stages with Café Tacuba, Caifanes, El Gran Silencio, Panteón Rococó, and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, to name a few.
