LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Primary Talent International) - Multi-Grammy nominee, Californian four-piece, Hoobastank, will release their fourth studio album 'For(n)ever' on Friday July 3.
In an exciting twist Hoobastank have enlisted Melbourne singer/songwriter Vanessa Amorosi to feature on their first single 'The Letter', which was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, Simple Plan, My Chemical Romance). The video which features Vanessa, was shot in Los Angles at Lacy Street Studio with Grammy nominated director Paul Brown (Jack White / Alicia Keyes).

Doug Robb, lead singer of Hoobastank committed about working with Vanessa, 'We were all very excited about how the song The Letter turned out with Vanessa singing on it. She brought a haunting yet powerful quality to the song that we think sounds great. The video was a blast to make as well. She rounded out the story perfectly and I finally got to trash a room. This is one of my favourite videos of ours so far. It looks amazing.'

'I loved the song, from the first time I heard it. To be asked to sing on it by Hoobastank was amazing, they are a great bunch of guys. I can personally relate to the lyrics and message,' said Vanessa Amorosi.

Hoobastank has sold over five million albums worldwide to date. 'For(n)ever' was once again produced by longtime collaborator Howard Benson, who helmed the band's last two albums, 2006's gold-certified 'Every Man for Himself' and 2004's two-million-plus selling 'The Reason'. The latter earned three Grammy nominations. The band's self-titled debut, released in 2001, was also a million-seller.

At the age of 25 Vanessa Amorosi has spent nearly a decade as an internationally renowned Australian singer / songwriter. With over one million albums sold worldwide, her debut album 'The Power' entered the ARIA Chart at No 1 and went on to achieve Platinum sales.
'The Power' also spawned the Platinum single 'Shine' and the double Platinum single 'Absolutely Everybody', which still holds the record for the longest charting single by a female in Australia. Her second album, the 2008 release 'Somewhere In The Real World', reached Gold sales and delivered the Platinum selling, No 1 National Airplay Chart (the music network) single 'Perfect', which subsequently was the No 1 most played Australian song of 2008.

Hoobastank's new single 'The Letter' featuring Vanessa Amorosi At radio Monday May 4, Released Friday June 19.
