Hailing from Modesto, CA, the band have come to deliver a groovy, electric vibe with their feel-good music. Their sound is one that cannot be immediately defined, but blends together elements of upbeat alternative and progressive rock.
Dwellings have released their new single, "Snake Charmer" and teamed up with New Noise Magazine for a premiere. The face-paced single captivates with it's infectious vocals and a bouncy melody, almost sending the listener into a trance. When asked about the track, vocalist Anthony Pacheco stated: "Snake Charmer sets the mood and atmosphere we wanted to achieve on this record. It also is one of our favorite songs off of the album, and it feels good to release music again". In addition to the release of the single, Dwellings announced that their debut album, 'Lavender Town' will be released on June 29th via Tragic Hero Records.

The duo achieves their sound by fusing perpetually mutating polyrhythms, lush chords, and smooth melodies. Lavender Town is a berserk rocket ride through the warped space of a cartoon dimension that offers listeners swirling and fizzing pools of color to wash away their spiritual umbra. Songs such as "Foreverest" weave tender beds of arpeggiated guitars reminiscent of a music box. On the other end of the emotional spectrum are the tracks "Snake Charmer"and "
Lemonade" which are far more blustery. The thread tying these songs together are sensual, yet extremely volatile vocals that glide like a caressing hand, but will punish with stinging claws if under too much stress.
