New York, NY (Top40 Charts) People Magazine has included country singer Ty Herndon in their "Sexy At Every Age" feature story, available in their print edition on shelves this week. "Over the years People Magazine has been extremely good to me," writes Herndon. "They gave me the avenue to share with the world my true self and covered some of the most exciting moments of my life. What a big honor to be in their 2019 "Sexiest Man Alive" issue. I've even gained Cool Uncle points because my nephew thinks it's awesome that my picture is right next to Uncle Jesse, John Stamos."
Herndon has also announced the upcoming release of his new recording of the Christmas traditional "O Holy Night," performed as a duet alongside acclaimed singe Crystal Lewis. Just in time for the holiday season, the single will be released on December 6th.
In November of 2014, Ty Herndon was the first major male country artist to publicly come out as gay in a landmark interview with People Magazine. Shortly after, he made history when he hosted the first-of-its-kind country music event, titled The Concert for Love and Acceptance. The event, designed to bring attention and support to at-risk youth and acceptance, received national attention from

Ty Herndon recently released his album Got It Covered, which featured a re-recording of his 1995 single "What Mattered Most" with the pronouns reversed from the original to reflect Ty's true self that fans have come to know since he came out in 2014. The reimagined track and video was widely embraced and featured on Huffpost, People Magazine, NPR's "All Things Considered," Variety, and The Hill among others.
Herndon followed with a video for his recording of "So Small," originally written by Carrie Underwood, which features the youth of The
Rainbow Squad, a Nashville-based group based around providing a safe space and community resources for LGBTQ+ kids. He also released his version of Marc Cohn's "
Walking In Memphis" and Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me."
