It is the perfect accompaniment for any piano player, guitar player, bass player or any other instrumentalist. They get to play along with live drums and percussion in the genre they choose, with specific grooves. Of course anyone can play along at the original performed tempo but the tempo can be changed with a bpm slider making it into a full metronome . Many different tempi were played by the 2 pro players performing in the app giving the user loads of possibilities and variation. All genres were color coded for easy navigation, a musical metronome packed with around 400 loops for only $3,99
In Listen Mode the user can audition any loop and let it play forever but pressing another one will stop the playing loop and start the next chosen loop. It is like an 'audition mode' for listening through the vast array of loops. Starting a new loop also resets the bpm to the original bpm the loop is presented in (and was recorded at).
In Live Mode the app has a great feature for musicians in a performing situation. Any loop pressed will let the playing loop finish first and the next chosen loop start in the same tempo, as if the drummer and percussion player switch in time to a new groove. And all loops continue to play in the tempo set by the user. Live players can keep performing with different grooves playing in the background!
Beats Live! runs in the background enabling players to use other apps on the same device.
