Canadian Music Week Congratulates The Winners Of The 2015 SiriusXM Indie Awards
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Canadian Music Week is pleased to announce the winners of the 2015 SiriusXM Indies - 15th Annual Independent Music Awards. ALVVAYS, Caribou, The Weeknd and Death From Above 1979 were among the nominees who took home top honours. Winners were recognized across 37 categories this evening at the Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton Centre Hotel. An excited energy filled the room throughout spectacular performances from artists, including The Glorious Sons, Alvvays, Broncho, Miracles, and Billy Talent.

Hosted by SiriusXM Canada's Jeff Leake, this year's ceremony and performances were broadcasted live to SiriusXM subscribers in Canada and the U.S. on "The Verge" (XM 173), and "Iceberg" (Sirius 161). Alvvays, from Royal Mountain Records, and Miracles, from Music Mansion, captured the Emerging Artist of the Year English and French categories respectively, which come with a $5,000 bursary from SiriusXM Canada.

Both public and industry votes determined the winners. Fans also had the opportunity to vote online for their favourites at www.indies.ca.
