New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Palenke Soultribe, the international Colombian group based in Los Angeles and pioneers of electro-cumbiero sound in the world, presents "El Retorno" (The Return), the first single and video lyric from their upcoming album "Sangre" that will be released during the summer of this year.

"El Retorno" is a song influenced by traditional cumbia sounds fused with synths and rhythm machines. The lyrics tell the story of a typical adventurous immigrant who returns to his country after years of struggling abroad and rediscovers his youth's romance and manages to relive it. It is a story of redemption, of struggle, and of reality and dreams. The official video will be released in the upcoming weeks.

This is the first track that Palenke Soultribe presents to us off their anticipated new album "Sangre", which corresponds to the third installment of the trilogy composed for "Oro" (2009), "Mar" (2013) and "Sangre" (2018) as a tribute to the colors of the Colombian flag. Recorded in Los Angeles with Colombian, Mexican, North American and Puerto Rican musicians, this material highlights many shades of music due to the influences acquired by the band through their tours and experiences overseas.

Their studio albums and 4 EPs with remixes have been accompanied by extensive tours in Europe, U.S.A., Canada and South America, including performances at prestigious festivals like the Glastonbury Festival in the U.K., Colours of Ostrava in the Czech Republic, WOMEX in Hungary and Mundial Montreal in Canada.

The lyric video was produced by LAPOST in Bogota, Colombia.
