The West Valley Arts Council is proud to announce The Plain White T's, best known for their hit song "Hey There Delilah," as the headliner for the 7th Annual Goodyear Lakeside
Music Fest. The free music festival, sponsored by the City of Goodyear, Estrella by Newland, Desert Diamond Casino West Valley, and APS, is on April 18 from 4-9:30 p.m. at the Estrella Lakeside Amphitheater located at 10300 S. Estrella Parkway. Estrella's North Lake provides a scenic backdrop for this event, which is the largest music festival in the West Valley.
A variety of music is on tap for the family-friendly festival including funk-soul, folk, country rock, alternative rock, and pop. Opening acts include local favorites: Cold Shott and the Hurricane Horns, The Senators, Georgia Chrome, and Good Boy Daisy, two-time finalists in Alice Cooper's music competition, Proof is in the Pudding.
The festival also includes lawn seating, an interactive Art Zone, local business booths, a large beer and wine garden, and free parking. Several popular food trucks, such as Kona Ice, Cutie's Lemonade, Q UP BBQ, Amazing Kettle Corn, Mustache Pretzels, Queso Good, Leyva's Tacos, Burgers Amore, and more will be onsite serving up delicious fare throughout the event.
VIP tickets are available and will include VIP parking, catered dinner, prime seating near the stage, two free drinks, prizes, and a chance to win a meet and greet with The Plain White T's. VIP tickets can be purchased for $75 at westvalleyarts.org/GLMfest/ .
Event-goers are encouraged to bring folding chairs and blankets to mark their spot in the grassy Estrella Lakeside Amphitheater. Tents and umbrellas will not be allowed. Outside alcohol and pets are also not allowed during the scheduled event.
