It's Time For Christian Cinema Movie Madness
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) ChristianCinema.com announces its 3rd Annual Christian Movie Madness Competition. Christian Movie Madness puts two recent Christian films in competition with each other, with the winner advancing in a tournament-style bracket.
Back by popular demand, Christian Cinema announces its third annual Christian Movie Madness competition.

Avid fans will be texting and tweeting to friends to vote, families will binge-watch movie trailers in preparation, and party-lovers will rush to the stores for chips and queso every Thursday as bracket winners are announced. And while this is exaggerating (a little), expect to see a shockingly high number of votes as in years past. Help move the top films along to the winner's spot.

The competition is based on number of votes, so it falls on fans and filmmakers, to help the best films advance. Though viewers may not have seen every movie in the running, each film's trailer will be available during the (sometimes grueling) process of deciding which movie is better than another. Anyone can vote in the Christian Movie Madness contest by visiting https://www.ChristianMovieMadness.com. Besides discovering great new Christian movies and helping others to do the same, every voter receives a free movie rental code to use at ChristianCinema.com.

Jared Geesey, Vice President of Christian Cinema, noted, "Christian movie madness is all about fun and discovering new movies. If someone is already a fan, they can vote their favorites deeper into the tournament. But if a film is unfamiliar, watch the trailer and pick a winner! May the best film win!"

The third year of Christian Movie Madness features blockbusters such as Hacksaw Ridge, Miracles From Heaven, and Providence. The competition will also feature excellent but lesser known films like The Unknowns, Shooting the Prodigal, and The Fight Within. Everyone from Mel Gibson and Jennifer Garner to actors in the role of Passenger #5 will be breaking out their phones to vote, so join the fun!

"Last year, Tim Mahoney and the Patterns of Evidence team rallied their fans to a big win using social media," said Bobby Downes, President and co-founder of ChristianCinema.com. "We're excited to offer this stage to filmmakers - not only highlighting this year's films, but to give filmmakers a chance to build their fanbase."

For party-planning purposes, the schedule for the rounds is as follows:
Round of 32: March 6 to March 19,
Round of 16: March 20 to March 26,
Round of 8: March 27 to April 2,
Round of 4: April 3 to April 9
Final Round: April 10 to April 16.
This year's bracket is broken into four, eight-team brackets, which can be downloaded here.

In the True Stories bracket:
Hacksaw Ridge vs. King's Faith
Greater vs. Unlimited
The Young Messiah vs. I am Potential
Risen vs. Ben-Hur
In the Historical bracket:

I'm Not Ashamed vs. To Joey, With Love
Hillsong: Let Hope Rise vs. Queen of Katwe

Join the fun and festivities with others (friends, family, extended family, and random people at the coffee shop) to rally behind favorite films this year.

May the best film win!
Founded in 1999, when video stores rarely carried faith films, Bobby Downes co-founded Christian Cinema to connect independent Christian filmmakers to their audiences. The site is now the world's largest selection of faith-affirming and family-approved films on the Internet, hosting over 4,000 movie titles in its database. What began with the sale of just one movie grew to include a DVD rental subscription program as well as digital video streaming on demand. Consumers could finally have a reliable source for faith-based films that are pre-screened to ensure a Biblical worldview. To further the goal of connecting filmmakers and audiences, Christian Cinema also added movie reviews, news articles, a daily and weekly radio program featuring interviews with filmmakers, and a weekly newsletter that serves a variety of industry leaders. Bobby Downes and Vice President Jared Geesey spent a decade and a half developing relationships with filmmakers, retailers, and distributors, whom they now serve with up-to-date movie news, an industry release calendar, a barometer for gauging each week's most popular movies, and the promotion of films to an audience of 400,000+ social media followers and 130,000 weekly email recipients.
