New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The opening track which is the original instrumental version of 'Liverpool Crying' was recorded in 1996 at Nightshift Studios Christchurch, it features some of the musicians from the original
Dizzy Heights band and has that unmistakable 'Hank Marvin' of The
Shadows feel and sound… that's how
Dizzy Height started off and like the other opening tracks is a 'live studio recording' the only overdub being an acoustic rhythm guitar added after the original takes.
Other than four out of seven of the opening tracks with the band all instruments are played by
Dizzy Height, which is a pretty good achievement even by today's multi-talented standards…
From the 7 Nightshift tracks the album goes to 'Life', which was an early
Dizzy Height solo track from his first album 'What I Got' and from there the album features some of the best
Dizzy Height songs from the 're-launch' phase of
Dizzy Heights career in 2014…
Some of Dizzy's favourite tracks help lead you through this journey such as 'Meat Free Monday', 'Crazy Susan' and 'Many Hats' with all of the tracks flowing naturally through the two decades as if to finally complete a jig-saw puzzle that now has all its pieces neatly in place…
The most recent tracks were recorded by
Dizzy Height in Christchurch New Zealand and produced by Michael Graham of The Lodge Recording Studios, Indianapolis,
Indiana USA and feature 'Nineteen Sixty Five / Cats Eyes' which were released as a single in 2015 and the brand new track from the Lodge project 'Whatever You Do' closes the album nicely and paves the way for the next
Dizzy Height project some time in the future…
