E4's "Glue" Original Television Series Soundtrack Released By eOne Music
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Entertainment One (eOne Music) has released the atmospheric electronic soundtrack to Eleven Film and E4's teen drama television mini-series, GLUE, composed by Ivor Novello nominee and Telly award-winner Walter Mair (BLOOD ORANGE, GRAND THEFT AUTO).

Created and written by BAFTA-winning writer Jack Thorne (SKINS, THE FADES, THIS IS ENGLAND) and directed by Daniel Nettheim (THE HUNTER), Oliver Blackburn (DONKEY PUNCH) and Cathy Brady (COMING UP), GLUE is an eight-part stylistic murder mystery series set in the English rural countryside where drugs, lust, despair and murder lay at its core.

Walter Mair's score draws influence from the show's rural setting, yet twists and obscures many of the organic elements to reflect the narrative, resulting in a fresh and innovative sound. The soundtrack captures the beauty of the setting and the complexities of the characters and their relationships whilst conveying the dark underlying events taking place throughout. The series was music supervised by Sarah Bridge (THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING) and the album was mixed and mastered by Andy Bradfield (MASSIVE ATTACK).

"Glue was a fantastic experience that required me to leave the picturesque countryside of England behind and dive into a gloomy and sinister England," said Walter Mair. "The music focuses on the relationship between the main characters and their playful and emotive nature, which ultimately heads into much darker territory."

To capture the dense atmosphere of the series and reflect this transition in emotions, Mair created a hybrid of organic and electronic instrumentation by blending analog synths, solo instruments and found sounds which are increasingly manipulated to reflect the darker path the main characters are heading towards.

GLUE director Daniel Nettheim, commented, "Walter is a wonderful collaborator and true craftsman of music for the screen. His entrancing score elevates the emotion and drama of the series to another cinematic level."

Mair has composed for Sony PlayStation's KILLZONE series and his music has also been licensed in Ryan Gosling's LOST RIVER and Rockstar Games' GRAND THEFT AUTO series. He is currently scoring the thriller BLOOD ORANGE starring Iggy Pop.
Produced by Joel Wilson and exec produced by Jamie Campbell for Eleven Film, GLUE is available now on DVD from eOne Television.
