Memphis Promoter Scammed By Chicago Booking Agent
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ LP Firm) Memphis promoter, Castle Entertainment, recently booked hip-hop artist, Mac Miller, for a local performance. Castle secured the internationally known hip-hop artist through Romarick "Diesel" Hough of a Chicago booking agency called "Premiere Talent." Castle Entertainment paid Romarick Hough a nominal fee for his service and also paid a deposit to secure Mac Miller for the performance in Memphis, Tennessee on January 26th, 2013. With a signed agreement and receipts of the deposits made to Romarick Hough, Castle Entertainment began to promote the event.

On Friday, January 25th, 2013, Castle Entertainment received a call from Mac Miller's attorney. At that time, they were informed that Romarick Hough had not booked Mac Miller to perform in Memphis on January 26, 2013. Additionally, Castle Entertainment was informed that Romarick "Diesel" Hough of Premiere Talent Agency was not an authorized booking agent for Mac Miller and had, indeed, forwarded a fake vocal drop of Mac Miller. In the vocal drop, a person pretending to be Mac Miller proclaimed that he would be performing in Memphis, TN on January 26th, 2013.

By Friday, January 25th, Castle had sold approximately 800 advance tickets to this event. The reputable Memphis-based entertainment company was humiliated further when Mac Miller issued a tweet to his followers on Friday, January 25th. In this tweet, Mac Miller stated that "he was never booked to play Memphis."

Paul Echols, COO of Castle Entertainment, immediately issued a refund for all
tickets sold and apologized to the city of Memphis, TN. Outraged by being duped, Mr. Echols, had an interview with local television stations regarding this

scandal. Yet, again going on record to apologize to the local consumers.
Echols urges all promoters to research and know who or whom they are booking any artists, performers or celebrity personalities.
