Something Wicked And unite4:good Partner To Activate #ProjectDisco In Houston
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Disco Donnie Presents, an award-winning SFX Entertainment company that organizes and promotes hundreds of EMC-focused festivals and events at North American venues each year, and unite4:good (www.u4g.com) , a global movement for kindness and social good, today announce the activation of #ProjectDisco at the #SomethingWicked Music Festival (www.SomethingWicked.com) taking place in Houston, TX on October 24th and 25th, 2015. The 4th annual Something Wicked event is presented by Disco Donnie Presents and NightCulture at Sam Houston Race Park. #ProjectDisco is an initiative that unites music and social good at Disco Donnie Presents events and venues across the U.S. with the goal to inspire event attendees to make a difference in their communities by committing to acts of kindness and service. The result will be positivity at the festival, while providing opportunities for attendees to make a difference and a measurable impact on the local community.

The #ProjectDisco initiatives taking place on-site at Something Wicked that aim to help foster kindness and social good and include:

#iam4: Photo Campaign - This initiative demonstrates the Something Wicked and unite4:good mission to use the power of social media to help bring awareness to causes and charitable organizations in an effort to make a positive difference and promote social good. To spread the message of positive action, participants write the name of the cause or charitable organization that most resonates on the blank line provided on an #iam4 template sign and take a photo holding the sign. Participants can then post the photo on their social media platforms with hashtags #iam4 and #u4g to show support for their cause and to demonstrate good will. Each social media post results in a donation from unite4:good to a local non-profit.

#kindsquad - The #kindsquad team will be roaming the festival looking for acts of kindness among the crowd. Those who commit random kind acts will be rewarded with event upgrades as well as #ProjectDisco merchandise.

#ProjectDisco Something Wicked Artist Lounge - Artists and talent will head backstage to the artists lounge where they can participate in the #iam4: Photo Campaign.

#kindcamp - The kindcamp is #ProjectDisco's headquarters and will house the #iam4 Photo Campaign. In addition to the #iam4 Campaign, greeting cards will be available here and participant can sign and decorate cards with a kind note that will be delivered post-event to a local children's hospital.

The initiatives above will encourage fans and event-goers to participate in taking a stand for positive action, social causes and inspire them to explore issues that personally resonate. Rewards for participating in the above initiatives include emazing lights' kandi bracelets, a chance to win a trip to Disco Donnie Presents' The Day After Festival taking place in Panama City, Panama in January 2016, as well as VIP upgrades at the festival.

To chronicle the acts of kindness and social good at Something Wicked, THE BALCONY'S Kenny Holland, as well social media superstars Rickey Thompson and Anthony Quintal will be on hand to post up-to-date happenings at the event on their social media platforms. These influencers have demonstrated their social media power, as evidenced by the heavily engaged fans and followers they have amassed, and by their use of social media platforms to promote positive social change.

"We are thrilled to activate an initiative that will foster acts of kindness and produce a sense of community at this year's Something Wicked event," said Anthony Melikhov, founder of unite4:good. "The fans at Something Wicked already share a similar passion for music and art, so we are excited to deliver a program that allows them to further share a passion to create social good."

#ProjectDisco will soon announce additional activations that are scheduled to take place across events and venues in the U.S. for the remainder of 2015. With over 600 shows a year that attract nearly a million people annually, Donnie Disco Presents engages with millennials who, as a generation, have demonstrated a strong commitment to the values celebrated by unite4:good.
