Standing Alone Together - Metaphor Or Music
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Manic Records) In a music industry that is full of manufactured pop acts, it is refreshing to find something a little different every now and then.

Following on from their 2010 releases of Conflict, Planet Cinema and Overture, Anno Domini are straight out of the blocks in 2011 with their 'new' single Standing Alone Together.

So when is 'new' not especially new? Well, the track was written in 1993; this 2011 version is a re-recording. Not that the band mind this: "it's a classic track that is a relevant to the industry today as it was in the mid 1990s" said Richard, one of the 2 Anno Domini members.

Andy, the other member, was equally enthusiastic. "It is all about the ideological constant where we each have our own boundary conditions, but, well, how our anthropic view of the universe means we're here sharing it together because we are all here to affect its combined direction"

Slow, deep and with a non-linear chord progression, Standing Alone Together is an emotional trip in to Anno Domini's world. It differs from recent releases in that it is not so dance oriented, that said, if ever there was a piece of music perfect for the TV and film industry, this is it.

Anno Domini was formed by two friends (Andy and Richard) in the late 1970s when the lads lived next to each other aged 5 and 3.They have been composing and performing synth-lead instrumental music ever since.

Natural influences like Jean-Michel Jarre are obvious, but the band has been inspired by dance tracks and pop from acts like Depeche Mode, the Pet Shop Boys, Erasure and OMD.

Anno Domini have recently re-released their classic 1994 album "Progressions", and other current releases include their 2007 "Revival" album, "Planet Cinema EP" from 2010 and the recently released "Overture" album.
