The New Order Musical Performance
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) I'm a casual festival visitor, with a dozen of festivals in my checklist. Having seen all of the types of music events, from small underground indie stuff to the world's most famous events, I thought that there is nothing that could impress me. And then, the 2018 Music Tastes Good came. The two days of this music, heaven was one of the most fabulous experiences in my life.

I guess that for most of the audience, it was the first-day headliner, New Order, that caught the attention. So it was for me and Alex, my college friend - a talented essay writer, and a trusty festival companion. But looking through the festival's advertising poster, I've noticed something even more interesting. Along with the musical lineup, there also was… a kitchen chefs' lineup! Yes, the festival has its name, Music Tastes Good, for a reason. Food is a part of the experience that is equal to the music scenes. So, after seeing indie music and craft food combined in the poster, I've decided to buy tickets immediately. And among all of my impulse purchases, this one is definitely the one I'll never regret! So, what makes this festival that great?

Music
Indie festivals are always a challenging experience. There's a bunch of well - known headliners, surrounded by the bands that you've never heard of. These bands could either be absolutely great or a complete waste of time and money. The Music Tastes good followed this scheme. There was New Order, Sun Kil Moon, James Blake, and Broken Social Scene, but most of the bands were completely unknown to me. At the same time, with the forty acts to perform in just two days, there was plenty of choices. The scenes were located in a way that allowed you to reach different stages in just a few minutes. Because of such a convenient locating, there were some bands I did not like, I could always find something better. I never had a dull moment at the fest!

Food
As I have said, I'm in love with craft food. Therefore, the concept of Music Tastes Good was a real hit for me. Apart from the usual beer snacks, I've got to taste the real food masterpieces, brought by numerous chiefs, who were celebrated as much as the musicians. For me, the tastiest discovery of the fest was the Tacos Sincero's chief Sincere Justice. I have never seen such a great variety of tacos and was absolutely impressed by the original approach that was taken to make them. Sincere's tacos was a combination of Mexican and Asian food tradition - what could be tastier than this mix? The food added to the festival's atmosphere as much as the music.

People
Last, but not least, I have to mention the amazing people that I've met at the fest. Music Tastes Good attracted great and interesting visitors. I've enjoyed a friendly and open atmosphere and made a ton of new friends, many of whom I'll see at the next festivals I'll be visiting. Although Music Tastes Good was a pretty big festival, it still managed to keep the warm and cozy approach of small local underground festivals which I like so much!

Overall, Music Tastes Good was a fantastic experience. I was really upset to find out that the organizers decided to skip 2019. But on the other hand, it made me look forward to the 2020 festival even more!
